Shhh!

There’s a family of mountain gorillas in the forests of Rwanda.

Soon you will see raging rivers, steamy rain forests and miles and miles of scorching deserts.

Welcome to BBC Earth's "Wild Africa," a stunning nature film, which premieres Jan. 8 at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History's Imax Theatre.

The film, narrated by Helena Bonham Carter, will be shown daily and runs through May 19.

It was directed by Emmy-winning Patrick Morris and Neil Nightingale and Mike Slee.

Viewers will see amazing creatures such as majestic lions, hungry crocodiles and graceful flamingos. The scenery is just as dramatic and awe-inspiring.

“Wild Africa” was filmed over 573 days with shooting locations across 13 countries.

The production team worked in challenging conditions — underwater, 100 percent humidity, temperatures of over 120 degrees, and altitudes of 19,000 feet.

Some of the key locations included the Okavango Delta, Botswana; the Red Sea, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt; and the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia.

The film also will be shown Friday evenings during Martinis & Imax.
