It may be 667 days until it hits theaters, and it doesn't have a full name yet, but that's not stopping "Star Wars" fans from looking for any nugget of information from "Star Wars: Episode VIII."

Production started this week on the next installment of the epic story.

And Disney didn't disappoint fans, posting a 30-second announcement to its "Star Wars" YouTube channel.

The cast seems to be just as excited to get filming underway.

John Boyega, who plays Finn in the new trilogy, went to Twitter to announce getting back in front of the camera.

Some new names are joning the cast. Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern were both announced on the "Star Wars'" official website as new cast members, but what roles they will play have not been revealed.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is scheduled to be released Dec. 15, 2017.

Meanwhile, you can see "Rogue One," which takes place before "Star Wars: A New Hope," in theaters on Dec. 16, 2016.
