Meghan Markle isn’t the only American to give birth to a royal baby

Seven other Americans were mothers to royal offspring

Meghan Markle isn't the only American to give birth to a royal baby. In 1949, Rita Hayworth married Prince Aly Khan, son of the leader of Nizārī Ismaili Muslims, and gave birth to Princess Yasmin Aga Khan. Grace Kelly married Rainer III, Prince of Monaco, in 1956 and had three children with him: Princess Caroline, Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie. Caroline Lee Bouvier, Jackie Kennedy's sister, married Polish Prince Stanislaw Albrecht Radziwill and became Her Serene Highness Princess Caroline Radziwil

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born Monday to British and American parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Duchess, former actress Meghan Markle, is not the first American or even the first American actress to give birth to a royal baby, however.
