SUWANEE

Terror on the Trial at Sims Lake Park

Aurora Theatre, an organization known for its stage plays, tries its hand at the haunt business this Halloween. It’s behind Terror on the Trail, an outdoor haunted house-style attraction taking place along the 1.2-mile trail at Sims Lake Park. Professional storytellers spin spooky yarns along the way blending historical Sims Lake facts with imaginative lore. Guests will spot zombies and other seasonal creeps, and the Aurora folks pepper the attraction with special effects. But don’t expect any spooks to jump out and rattle your bones. Instead, the scares come a bit more organically with narration, natural surroundings and pitch-black night enveloping guests into a state of fear. The experience is recommended for ages 10 and older. Each journey runs approximately 75 minutes, and the last tour steps off at 9:30 p.m.

7:30 p.m. Oct. 14, 15, 21 and 22. $15 advance; $18 at the park. Sims Lake Park, 4600 Suwanee Dam Road, Suwanee. 678-226-6222, www.terroronthetrail.com.
