A 17-year-old California teen is turning to a "Breaking Bad" star to help him ask his friend to prom.

Stefan Montana is a big fan of the popular AMC show and recent ran into star, Bryan Cranston, while on a trip to New York.

The teen met Cranston after a performance of Broadway’s "All The Way," which Cranston stars in.

Montana asked the actor to record a message asking his friend, Maddie, to be his date to the Los Gatos High School prom.

The teen asked, "Would you say ‘Maddie, if you don't go to prom with Stefan, then maybe your best course of action would be to tread lightly?’"

Cranston agreed to help the teen and recorded the message.  Montana then sent the video to Maddie via Instagram.

So what did she say?

Yes.

"It’s pretty crazy,” said Montana. “It’s pretty nuts to get this much attention from everyone. Going to school is definitely a different experience now.”
