Virgin Atlantic will begin flying to Atlanta later this year as part of its partnership with Delta Air Lines.

The British carrier will take over one of Delta’s three daily Atlanta-London Heathrow flights effective Oct. 26, marking the first time Virgin Atlantic has served the Atlanta hub.

Atlanta-based Delta last year bought a minority stake in Virgin Atlantic and the two carriers formed a strategic alliance.

While Virgin Atlantic will take over the Atlanta-London flight, Delta will take over one of Virgin Atlantic’s two daily Los Angeles-London Heathrow flights.
