We go to all sorts of movie promotion events, but never one quite this cuddly. In honor of “The Peanuts Movie,” which opens Nov. 6, Delta Air Lines has made the world’s favorite beagle an honorary pilot.
"Snoopy, I'll fly with you anytime," Delta Flight Museum President John Boatright said at last week's celebration.

The furry flier joined some of the movie's young voice actors along with Craig Schulz, son of "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz, at the event, held at the museum near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Members of the Pope High School marching band performed the iconic “Peanuts” theme song during the red-carpet stroll.
“Peanuts is endearing,” Boatright said. “Its messages and characters are cross-cultural and cross-generational.”
Schulz is an aviator himself, having fallen in love with flying as a kid putting together model airplanes.
"My love of aviation goes way back," he said in this interview posted on the Delta News Hub site. "As a kid growing up, I used to build model airplanes. When I was 17, my friend asked if I wanted to go flying in his dad's Cessna 172. From there on, I was hooked. I flew the gamut, from helicopters to jets. I had my own air taxi service with a fleet of Cessna Citations. I also flew my dad for almost 20 years. He would say, "I'll go anywhere, as long as I'm home by lunch."
But alas, unlike Snoopy, he's never piloted a flying doghouse.
“His doghouse needs a logo,” Schulz said. “We’re going to have to put ‘Delta’ on the side of your doghouse. Think how cool that would be!”

After his remarks, Schulz was eager to tour the Flight Museum, which is open to the public from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, noon-4:30 p.m. Sundays and closed to visitors on Wednesdays (information: deltamuseum.org).
“Aviation is my thing, and I’m so excited to be here,” he said.
Noah Schnapp, who voices Charlie Brown in the movie, can be seen in the Cold War thriller "Bridge of Spies," starring Tom Hanks, and is currently filming a new pilot in Atlanta called "Stranger Things," with Winona Ryder.
