Shia LaBeouf is sorry for acting like a drunken, offensive idiot.

In a Twitter message posted several days after his arrest in Savannah, the actor apologized and begged for forgiveness, saying his "destructive" behavior is "a new low." (See his full message below).

In addition, TMZ posted video of him inside the Chatham County jail building, accusing police of being racist and telling a black officer he was going to hell before he was released on $7,000 bond.

He's been in Savannah filming a movie called "The Peanut Butter Falcon," and accompanied Brad Pitt to Georgia several years ago to promote the movie "Fury."

Shia posed for photos with fans like this one at the right, but didn't take any questions.
