It's one of the greatest moments in one of the greatest movies, and it feels somberly relevant today.

In the classic "Casablanca" brave cafe patrons defiantly sing the French national anthem to drown out Nazi soldiers singing "Die Wacht am Rhein," a German patriotic anthem.

"Play the Marseillaise!" resistance leader  Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid) instructs the band in Rick's Cafe. " Play it!"

With Rick's (Humphrey Bogart) assent, the band begins to play.
