Depictions of Jesus as fair skinned "advance an Anglo-Saxon, white supremacist agenda," Atlanta Black Lives Matter activist and New York Daily News columnist Shaun King writes.
"In Atlanta, I see them everywhere I go. Jesus as a blond-haired, blue-eyed baby and his blue-eyed supermodel mother are ubiquitous and done without even a slight hint of humor," he says in this column. "It's preposterous."
King also wrote that he would cringe and correct his children when, while living in California, they would point to "stringy blond-haired surfers with beards" and declare they looked like Jesus
