A motorcyclist with a lead foot and little regard for law enforcement posted a video of him (or her)self speeding through Atlanta, giving a police officer the middle figure and weaving through traffic. Could cops be closing in on the daring motorist?

This still image shows the shadow of the motorcyclist and a pursuing Atlanta police officer. The motorcyclist sped off and weaved through traffic, leaving the officer in the dust.

The AJC posted this video earlier this week - after it had already been viewed 26 million times online. In the video the motorist films him (or her)self taunting a police officer, lifting a middle finger to the pursuing police car and then weaving through traffic.

At the time the Atlanta Police Department said the matter had been investigated at the time to little avail - but the case, like the video might be in for a few twists and turns.

"Stay tuned," we're told by the APD.
