The greatest thing since slice is bread.

I'm passionate about bread: I like it served warm with butter or flavored extra virgin olive oil on the side. My new favorite? Skillet biscuits—yes, served in a skillet. Read below to find out which midtown restaurant offer the aforementioned; others offer gorgeously gigantic, tasty popovers, French bread and more. Best of all, the bread service free. Red Lobster isn't on this list, but their free cheddar biscuits are worth all the calories; of course, you can always dance those away to Beyonce's "Formation."  Carry on. Eat up.

BLT Steak: Those gorgeously gigantic, tasty popovers I mentioned? They are served here, warm and perfectly flaky on a wooden tray with a side of butter. As a bonus, BLT Steak provides diners with a small raffia-tied, popovers recipe two-fold card, so you can whip up a batch at your leisure.

Petite Auberge: French rolls with butter or fresh olive oil directly from their Olive Oil and Vinegar Boutique are offered during lunch and dinner. For more bread goodness, order the bread pudding made with the same rolls. Read our review of Petite Auberge here.

STK Atlanta: Four reasons to love the rolls here: It's lightly covered with bleu cheese butter and served in a skillet. It pulls apart easily. The rolls are served with a side of chive oil for dipping. Lastly, a serving consists of half a dozen, so there's enough to share with a friend or two. P.S. STK adds honey to the rolls to give its signature sweetness.
