We all can name many shallow reasons not to date someone but would you dumb someone for being too intelligent? I ask because I have heard some women worry about appearing too smart and turning guys off. They actually try to dumb down in hopes of making a good impression. This could be misleading but some people risk it anyway.

When I asked one lady why she downplays her intellect on dates, she said she didn’t want to appear boring and dull. She is a Ph.D researcher but she just tells guys she is a teacher to keep it simpler. I worry she will end up with an idiot boyfriend because she hid her intelligence and overlook the lack of intelligence in the men.

Have you ever considered dumbing down on a date? Would you let that facade go on beyond the first three dates?
