Good news for those using the lunch hour to head to the polls Tuesday: It’s dry, and temperatures are increasing, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Temps were 64 degrees in Atlanta, 58 in Blairsville and 62 in Griffin just before 12:40 p.m.

“So it is cool and it is overcast,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

That won’t change anytime soon. Temps are forecast to stay in the 60s much of the day Tuesday.

Expect continued high clouds and a high of 69 degrees, Channel 2 reported.

By 6 p.m., temperatures are forecast to drop to 63 degrees in Atlanta.

“As the polls are closing (at 7 p.m.), we’re still seeing some clouds but still some clear spots, too,” Minton said. “And we’re in the mid to-upper 60s.”

Temps will drop overnight. Wednesday will be “cloudy to start but clearing during the day,” Minton said.
