The worst password in the world is "123456," and a LOT of people use it.
That simple combination jumped ahead of "password" as the most used security phrase.
Splashdata is a security company, they point out some of the other easily figured out codes are "abc123," "qwerty," "12345678," and "iloveyou."
Common words like "princess" and "shadow” are also favorites.
The San Francisco Chronicle reveals 123456 moved into the top spot after a security breach at Adobe released millions of passwords.
Splashdata says “we hope that with more publicity about how risky it is to use weak passwords, more people will start taking simple steps to protect themselves by using stronger passwords and using different passwords for different websites."
PC World and others suggest using random words broken up with spaces or other characters.
