Heisman-winning quarterback Tim Tebow’s presence as the Columbia Fireflies traveled to take on the Rome Braves on Monday night was good for the home team, Rome Braves’ manager Randy Ingle said.

In a video posted to Twitter, Ingle said the large, home crowd Tebow’s name brought to Rome’s State Mutual Stadium on Monday night was important for the Rome Braves to experience.

Ingle has been manager of the Rome Braves’ organization since 2015 and also managed the Rome Braves from 2006-2010 and 2012-2013.

In the Rome Braves’ 3-2 win over the Fireflies on Monday, Tebow had one hit— a single to left field.

The Rome Braves and Fireflies play the second of three games on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
