But there’s only one player with his own camera all game long…
"Here’s Manziel, scampers for the TD."
"Johnny Manziel!" (Via Youtube / SECDigitalNetwork)
"As someone who's involved in Television, I happen to love Johnny Football." (Via ESPN)
And so does everyone else, so much so CBS college football producer, Craig Silver, has invented and implemented "Johnny Cam."
"No matter where he is and no matter what part of the game it is, we will have a shot of it … If he is anywhere in sight of that camera, we will catch it." (Via Sports Illustrated)
Aside from Johnny Manziel's electric play, his antics in the season opener against Rice were definitely a contributing factor in the new phenomenon known as Johnny Cam. (Via KHOU)
As to be expected "Johnny Cam" definitely has it's critics, specifically one NBC writer who says,
"I believe the coverage of Johnny Manziel has just officially jumped the shark. Or, at the very least, it’s careening wildly toward the ramp."
But don’t worry, Manziel WILL NOT be on the screen constantly… or at least not more than usual.
"I can promise you the show won't turn into 'Manziel Mania' for three hours. Will the viewer get their fill of Manziel? Sure. Will we cover every angle of the game? Yes. But will we go overboard? Absolutely not." (Via Sports Illustrated)
Texas A&M's upset of Alabama last year was definitely a game to be remembered. It was the Tide's only loss all season and it came from a freshman quarterback in Manziel. (Via CBS)
The rematch for Saban’s Crimson will be this Saturday, in College Station at 2:30 Central
