Police in Pearland, Texas, said that former Major League outfielder Darryl Hamilton was killed in what appears to be a murder-suicide.
The bodies of Hamilton and Monica Jordan were found at a home in different locations, police said.
The couple's 14-month-old baby was found uninjured and was placed in the care of Texas Child Protective Services according to the statement.
The 50-year-old Hamilton most recently played for the New York Mets for three seasons (1999-2001). He had been working for the MLB Network as a studio analyst, according to the New York Post.
