Rasha Sherrer, whose brother is Georgia assistant football coach Kevin Sherrer, was found dead on Tuesday, as part of what is believed to be a double homicide.

The bodies of Rasha Breann Sherrer, 36, and Gary "Sambo" Hazelrig, 43, were discovered on Tuesday afternoon inside their home in Locust Fork, Ala., about 40 miles north of Birmingham. Both had been shot. They were last seen alive on Monday morning, and family and friends had been unable to reach them, according to AL.com.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was able to verify that Sherrer is indeed the sister of Kevin Sherrer, now in his second year at Georgia. Sherrer coaches the Sam linebackers and the star.

It was not immediately clear whether Sherrer would be at today’s Georgia practice, or Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

Hazelrig’s father, Joe Mack Hazelrig, was the former schools superintendent of Bount County.
