Brandon Adams

Position: Defensive tackle

Committed: Jan. 24

Height, weight: 6-foot-3, 315 pounds

Hometown: Brentwood, Tenn.

What to know: Switched his commitment from Vanderbilt to Georgia Tech on Jan. 24 after he was committed to Vanderbilt since July. Tech and Vanderbilt were his two choices, although he had other offers.

Adams on his official visit to Tech (Jan. 15): "It was great. It felt like home for me down there, and the coaching staff they're great. And the current players on the team and the players I was (visiting) with were great, too."

Adams on switching his commitment from Vanderbilt to Tech after his official visit: "I was looking for which place felt more like home to me, which place I could see myself on campus. … I just felt more of a connection to the coaching staff and the players (at Tech) than I did at Vanderbilt. And it's nothing against the players or coaches at Vanderbilt, it's just what was best for me."

Adams on the decision process: "It was just weighing the pros and cons. They're both great academic schools. I want to go pre-med, so they both have great opportunities for my dreams and aspirations. … It was more about how I felt when I was on campus."
