Earlier in the day, one of Cam Newton's sponsors, Dannon, said that it would no longer be working with him following his comments on Wednesday.

Later on in the day, Gatorade, also came out with strong comments against Newton.

“Cam’s comments were objectionable and disrespectful to all women and they do not reflect the values of our brand. Gatorade fully supports women who compete in, report on, coach for, or play any role in sport on or off the field.”

As of this writing Newton has still not apologized for his comments, in which he said it was “funny” that a female reporter was asking him a question about routes.

Newton and the Carolina Panthers return to action on Sunday when they take on the Detroit Lions.
