Want to show off your vocal pipes? You might get your opportunity during the AJC Peachtree Road Race.
The annual Fourth of July event is looking for metro Atlanta’s best singers to enter the “Oh Say Can You Sing?” contest for a chance to belt out the national anthem at the start of the 10k.
Metro Atlanta residents who are 15 and older are eligible. If you’re 14 or younger, you can participate in the contest to sing at the Anthem Peachtree Junior race, which takes place on July 3.
To enter, email a link of an original video of you singing the national anthem to contest@11Alive.com. Be sure to include “AJC Peachtree Road Race Contest” in the subject line, and write your name, age and location in the body. If you’re making a submission for the junior competition, include “Anthem Peachtree Junior Contest” in the subject line, and write your name, age and location in the body.
You can also enter by uploading your video to 11Alive's “Your Take” portal at yourtake.11Alive.com. When you’re on the site, click the drop-down button on the “channels” tab to find the contest you want to enter.
All videos should be no longer than 3 minutes, and the entry period ends Friday, June 7, at noon. Take a look at the complete list of rules here.
