For those putting an emphasis on the “drink and be merry” portion of the holidays, there's one winter favorite not to forget.

Bourbon.

Long associated with mint juleps or, perhaps, the drink of choice for you dad, the rye or wheat whiskey offers a variety of holiday concoctions - from a cinnamon-y  holiday punch sensation to a Barrel-aged Manhattan.

Before taking a stab at your own holiday bourbon recipe, watch the video above with Casey Teague, whiskey specialist at Decatur's Mac McGee Irish Pub, who answers all the questions you've always had about Kentucky's signature liquor.
