Days after a wanted man posted a video taunting police on TikTok for not arresting him — going viral in the process — authorities made their response.
The wanted man is no longer wanted.
On Friday, authorities arrested 21-year-old William Reeves Durga of Hamilton on two felonies, including sale of cocaine, the GBI said. Durga became the eighth arrest in an undercover drug investigation at a LaGrange pub, the agency said in a news release.
In early July, LaGrange police posted Durga’s past mug shots on Facebook, asking for the community’s help in tracking him down.
Instead of turning himself in, Durga posted a short video to TikTok of him dancing in front of a screenshot of the Facebook post, garnering nearly 4 million views and almost a million likes on the social media network, AJC.com previously reported.
The video featured the text, “Come and get me (expletive),” and it appears that police took that message to heart, arresting Durga within days of the video’s posting.

Durga’s charges are in connection to a seven-month investigation into drug activity at Main Street Pub in downtown LaGrange, the GBI said. The agency announced the arrest of seven employees and customers last month, who face charges including sale of cocaine, marijuana and other drugs.
It’s unclear whether Durga was an employee or a customer at the bar.
Before he was taken into custody, Durga told the LaGrange Daily News that he had no intentions on turning himself in.
“Honestly, I’m not wanting to turn myself in to Troup County Jail,” Durga told the newspaper. “It is so nasty and full of coronavirus. They haven’t been doing the necessary things to keep it contained. It’s beyond overcrowded, nobody gets a court date, it’s just wrong how the inmates are treated. I haven’t been running, they never came to my house or anything. They straight blasted me on social media, so I did it back.”
Durga remained in the Troup County jail Friday afternoon on a $15,000 bond, according to online jail records. Additional arrests are pending, according to the GBI.
