Q: There has been a little in the news on an attack on a family on the Riverfront in Savannah. Do you have more details?

A: The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is still collecting evidence, but states on its website that there was an altercation between "what appears to be two families" on River Street on May 13.
Video taken from city cameras shows a fight ensued when members of one group passed through the other group – eight members of a family from Atlanta, police said — “with members of both groups trying to break it up.” Police said they responded within 10 minutes, but one group had left.
“We certainly understand the frustration of a family who came to Savannah for an enjoyable weekend and ended up with injuries from an unpleasant situation,” chief Julie Tolbert said on the website. “But preliminary investigations show this was not a random act. We will continue to determine all the facts as we move forward.”

A: Charities, political organizations, surveyors, debt collectors and "companies with which you have an existing business relationship" are not covered by the National Do Not Call Registry.
