Q: Can you publish the website where Georgians can sign up for state-funded credit monitoring four weeks after a massive breach of sensitive data affecting 6 million voters?

—Don Runnion, Atlanta

A: Georgia residents affected by the data breach can go to www.csid.com/gasos to sign up for one year of complimentary credit monitoring and identity restoration services.

The identity restoration services will be provided to any eligible voter if their identity is stolen through Dec. 31, 2016, it states on the Secretary of State’s website.

The monitoring and identity restoration will cost Georgia $1.2 million, the AJC reported this month.

The Secretary of State’s office accidentally released Social Security numbers, birth dates and drivers’ license numbers to 12 organizations in November.

CSID, based in Austin, Texas, is a “leading provider of global identity protection and fraud detection technologies for businesses, their employees, and consumers,” the company states on its website.

Q: I watch The Weather Channel all the time. What happened to Sam Champion?

—Louise Smith, Loganville

A: Champion is developing a new primetime weather show that is scheduled to launch in mid-February on The Weather Channel.

He will host the interview-based show, which “will cover a broad range of topics, from the atmosphere to climate change and oceanography,” a spokeswoman told Q&A on the News in an email.

Champion hosted “AMHQ” until TWC announced in the fall that it planned to scale back its nightly reality shows and refocus on covering the weather.

Champion left “Good Morning America” for TWC two years ago.
