Q: Does the Trump White House have an official photographer? If so, who is it and what are their credentials?

—Michael Smith, Marietta

A: Shealah Craighead is President Donald Trump's official White House photographer, Time magazine reported, citing confirmation from Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer.

Craighead’s previous White House experience included work as Vice President Dick Cheney’s photo editor and First Lady Laura Bush’s personal photographer.

The first official civilian White House photographer was Yoichi Okamoto, who documented Lyndon B. Johnson’s presidency. Prior to that, Time reported, the job was more informal, and official photographs were typically taken by military photographers who often had limited access to the president.

President Barack Obama’s photographer was Pete Souza.

—Barbara L. Bowers, Atlanta

A: There has been no progress on this case and no persons of interest identified, Jan Deaton, Rollins' mother and assistant, told Q&A on the News in an email.

She added that, “as far as we know, the case is still open.”
