Q: We know there was a meeting of Republicans the night President Barack Obama was inaugurated. Kevin McCarthy and John Boehner were among those who vowed to make Obama a one-term president. Was Paul Ryan also among those who attended the meeting.

—Anne Cook, Marietta

A: Ryan was one of the Republicans who attended that meeting, according to Robert Draper's 2012 book, "Do Not Ask What Good We Do: Inside the U.S. House of Representatives," as reported by several sources.

Ryan (Wis.), the current Speaker of the House, and McCarthy (Calif.) were two of the people invited to the meeting, which was organized by Frank Luntz, a Republican strategist.

Boehner didn’t attend.

The other guests included:

Reps. Eric Cantor (Va.), Pete Sessions (Texas), Jeb Hensarling (Texas), Pete Hoekstra (Mich.) and Dan Lungren (Calif.), and Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.), Jon Kyl (Ariz.), Tom Coburn (Okla.), John Ensign (Nev.) and Bob Corker (Tenn.).

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich also attended, according to the book.

Q: What is the weekly pay for a Radio City Rockette?

—Andy Sims, Douglasville

A: Rockettes are paid by the show and can make about $40,000 in two months, Elle reported in 2014, since they perform so often during the Christmas season.

The New York Times reported their salary at $135 a show in 2005, but the Rockettes, who are unionized, receive overtime for performing more than two shows a day.

Several shows are scheduled daily for the annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
