The Georgia General Assembly at a glance for Wednesday, Day 21 of the 2018 legislative session:

Talmadge Bridge: Girl Scouts are lobbying lawmakers to change the name of Savannah's Eugene Talmadge Memorial Bridge — which honors the former governor, who was also a segregationist — to instead honor their founder Juliette Gordon Low. A House panel will meet Wednesday afternoon to give House Resolution 1054, which dedicates the bridge to Low, an initial hearing.

Stacey Abrams is running for governor.

Police pay: State law enforcement officers got a big bump in pay last year thanks to the Georgia Legislature. Now lawmakers are looking at Senate Bill 366, which would require sheriff's departments and other local law enforcement to study pay scales and establish a compensation grant program. The bill is scheduled for floor debate on Wednesday.

On the record: "When it comes to imbibing, some do, some don't, some do and pretend they don't. But for one day a week we all came together and practice a little bit of moderation. ... When it comes to this issue, we're losing our pledge to moderation."
