The Georgia General Assembly at a glance for Monday, Day 15 of the 2018 legislative session:

Adoption deal?: A potential compromise over a bill to make adoptions easier in Georgia was left hanging in the state Senate last week. The House passed House Bill 159 on a 168-0 vote, but senators declined to vote until they finish reviewing the latest version of the legislation. It's unclear whether the Senate will take up the issue Monday.

Border war: Lawmakers will take up a 200-year-old dispute over Georgia's border with Tennessee. Georgia officials have long maintained that the state rightfully owns 68 squares miles that were misallocated by an alleged surveying error in 1818. House Resolution 943 says Georgia's northern border with Tennessee and North Carolina should rest along the 35th parallel. The resolution will be considered by the House Interstate Cooperation Committee at 2 p.m.

Late start: After the Senate didn't take up the adoption bill Thursday, the House adjourned until 1 p.m. Monday. The Senate convenes at its normal 10 a.m. start time.

On the floor: The Senate might vote on Senate Bill 331, which would allow lottery winners to pay up to 4 percent of their prize to keep their identities secret. The House could take up House Bill 701, which adds opioids to the list of drugs that people seeking state employment can be tested for.
