The Endless Summer Band found out that their band name is just a dream.
The band's Friday night road trip was a total nightmare, but the group managed to keep their sense of humor.
The musicians from Indianapolis were headed to a gig in Tennessee when they became stranded, along with hundreds of others, overnight along a snowy stretch of I-75 in Kentucky.
The band posted on social media to pass the time. They posted a video of the band’s saxophone player, Jay Young, serenading the snowbound crowd with a rendition of “Let it Snow.”
After nine hours stranded, the band came up with a parody song that they posted on Facebook and YouTube called, “Stuck on this Highway with You.”
This morning, after almost 12 hours of being stranded, the band was finally able to start moving on freshly-plowed roads but alas, a semitrailer jackknifed in front of them and the band was stranded for a second time.
At last report, the band was down to a half-tank of gas and was asking for people to send pizza and fuel.
Late afternoon, the band happily posted that they had just crossed the Tennessee state line and would make it in time for their fundraising gig tonight.
