Officials told FOX25 that Rachelle Bond, the mother of "Baby Doe," and Bond's boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, are in custody. According to officials, McCarthy has known drug issues.
The Associated Press is reporting that McCarthy has been charged with murder.
"Baby Doe" has been formally identified as Bella Bond. The child's body was found on Deer Island in June.

Neighbors have said they have not seen the child in months.

Authorities have not released the name of the child, but MyFoxBoston reported Friday that a search warrant has been executed in Mattapan, Mass. Police are questioning a woman believed to be her mother.
The body, believed to be of a 4-year-old girl, was found by a woman walking her dog on June 25.
After the body was discovered, police received thousands of tips with possible identities. Investigators also posted billboards across the state asking for tips to help identify her.
An analysis of the pollen on the girl's clothing indicated that she was likely from the Boston area.
