Donald Trump may have just made his most outrageous comment about Muslims yet.

The Republican front-runner for the presidential nomination told CNN's Don Lemon Wednesday, fresh off the heels of his call to ban all Muslims from entering America, that he is in fact "doing good for the Muslims."

"Many Muslim friends of mine are in agreement with me," Trump said to Lemon in a sit-down interview.

Trump said he even had "one of the most important people in the Middle East" give him a stamp of approval for his comments, but wouldn't reveal who it was.

Trump went as far as to say, "I love the people of the Middle East."

He continued by calling Muslims "phenomenal people" who are "so happy at what I'm doing."

He clarified his comments on "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States" by saying the embargo could be quick but needs to happen and that Muslim athletes and diplomats wouldn't be subject to the discriminatory barrier.
