A father on a daddy-daughter date with his little one was touched by a restaurant manager's kindness toward a homeless man.
Tennessee resident Joey Mustain said he loves taking his daughter to a nearby Chick-fil-A for their regular dates.
After enjoying a meal together, the two of them were eating ice cream cones near the door. That's when a homeless man walked in, asking for any extra food.
"People near him kept their distance, but that didn't stop him from being kind," Mustain wrote in a Facebook post. "He spoke to people who reluctantly spoke back, and he smiled while he waited on a manager."
The manager came back shortly and said he'd gladly give the man a full, free meal as long as he could pray with him.
"As busy as they were, the manager stopped then and there, laid his hand on the man, and proceeded to pray. I heard love in that prayer. The homeless man wasn't some untouchable stain on business," Mustain wrote.
He said the moment was a valuable teaching moment for his daughter.
"I asked Stella to watch and she stared. She asked what was happening and when I told her, she bowed her head, too" Mustain said.
Mustain said the moment gave him a newfound appreciation for Chick-fil-A.
"In a time when companies are trying to win in the market by neutralizing any possibility of offense, CFA is thriving because they unwaveringly cling to their principles and purpose," Mustain said.
