The 7-year-old said he was "crying hard" when he realized what had happened, according to Fox 6 Now. After school, he was mistakenly put on the bus that takes him home, not the one that was supposed to take him to a nearby day care. Neither his mom nor his uncle, who lives nearby, was home, so Bradley was roaming around the streets in the cold.
Flustered by having to get off the bus when he didn't expect to, Bradley left his hat and gloves on the bus.
The boy was crying in a dark alley when Renee Love heard him. She let the boy stay in her home until his mother came home.
Bradley gave Love a homemade bracelet and a hug as a thank you for her kindness.
The school issued a statement apologizing for placing the boy on the wrong bus and said it is evaluating its processes to make sure the same mistake doesn't happen again.
