Atlanta police Thursday were investigating a predawn shooting that left a man in critical condition.

The shooting happened about 4:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Boulevard in northeast Atlanta.

Atlanta police Capt. Terrell Griffin said responding officers found a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in critical condition, Griffin told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“At this time we don’t have any suspects, and the motive for the shooting is unclear,” Griffin said. “We have some residents that heard the shooting, but no one saw it.”
