Two rezoning requests are scheduled for an Oct. 15 hearing before the Henry County Board of Commissioners after being considered by the county’s Zoning Advisory Board at its July 25 regular meeting.

A request to rezone 41.268 acres on the north side of Hampton-Locust Grove Road from RA (residential agricultural) to C-3 (highway commercial) received a 3-2 affirmative vote with conditions. The plan for the site includes accessory trailer storage and parking for adjacent property. A separate request involved 89 acres at 1496 Millers Mill Road being rezoned from RA to R-3 (single-family residential) for a subdivision development, but two separate motions, one for R-3 zoning and another for R-2 with sewer, failed to pass.

A conditional use request for that site passed 3-2 to allow a conservation subdivision.
