Demolition of the Yorktowne condominium site in College Park is complete.

According to the city manager’s newsletter, Kissberg Construction has removed the buildings as well as underbrush and the complex’ s in-ground pool. The property has been vacant since the water was turned off in 2012, city manager Terrence Moore said.

The city of College Park paid up front for the demolition work at a cost of $480,000. It is slated to recoup those costs as a result of liens and assessments against the property, Moore said. The city is in process of arranging for a security fence to be put up around the site.
