Motorists should expect delays as crews repair and repave Arnold Mill Road and Towne Lake Parkway through downtown Woodstock, according to a city announcement.

Extensive milling and base repairs were competed Tuesday on Arnold Mill, from Fire Station 14 west to Bentley Parkway; and were to begin Wednesday and go the rest of the week on Towne Lake from Main Street west to Mill Street, according to Rob Hogan, Woodstock public works director.

Weather permitting, asphalt resurfacing of both roads will take place during the overnight hours the week of June 17-21. “Although the paving can be completed at night, it is best to complete the repair work during the daylight hours, and we schedule that portion in between the morning and evening rush hours,” Hogan said.

Officials suggest using Alabama Road (Ga. 92) as an alternate east-west route; Dobbs Road is not available as an alternate.
