Exercising powers under his city’s declaration of a state of emergency due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Woodstock Mayor Donnie Henriques has relaxed certain city rules concerning alcohol and signs.

Henriques granted a temporary limited package license to all Woodstock restaurants that already hold on-premise alcohol consumption licenses, letting them sell unopened bottles of wine and beer to go. There is no charge for the temporary license, which expires April 30 unless extended by the city. Information: https://bit.ly/2xZ8u5e

The mayor also issued an executive order suspending the enforcement of the city's temporary sign code, also until April 30 unless extended. "This order will allow businesses to utilize banners and other temporary signs to notify the public of changes to operations and assist with social distancing," Henriques said. “We are working to find every possible way to assist our businesses and the public in this difficult time,” Henriques said.
