The Woodstock City Council has awarded Wildcat Striping and Sealing a contract not to exceed $347,292 to do paving work at several locations around the city.

Wildcat was the lowest responsible bidder of three companies that responded to a city request for proposals, staff said in a memo to the council.

The contractor will repair Main Street from Towne Lake Parkway north to the railroad tracks and extending onto Rope Mill Road through the intersection of Kyle Street; Main from Dupree Road to Serenade Lane; Dupree from Goshen Lane to Noonday Creek Bridge; and Wall Street from Towne Lake to Mill Street.

A total of $280,050 of the project will be funded by the Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) program of the Georgia Department of Transportation, staff said. The city is responsible for an $84,015 match. The total expenditure of $364,065 includes about $16,773 for contingencies.
