The 2019 farmers market season begins this weekend in Woodstock, with the debut later this spring of a weekday evening market in addition to the traditional Saturday morning market, officials announced.
The 11th annual edition of the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market opens Saturday, April 20, and runs through December.
The Saturday market operates from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Market Street downtown. The new weekday market runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, May 7 through August, in the Backyard of Reformation Brewery on Market Street.
Woodstock requires its vendors to grow at least 85 percent of the product they bring, officials said. New vendors include Dang Good Produce, Killer Waffles and Yoder Family Farm.
This year’s market also will feature events from the Cherokee County Farm Bureau, cooking demonstrations by local chefs, and live music. Synovus Bank returns as presenting sponsor.
