The Woodstock City Council has authorized a $67,480 contract with Pond & Co. to update its comprehensive plan.

The plan update must include “key findings” – population/demographic and employment/community data, growth and development trends, an inventory of infrastructure, cultural and community facilities, and a review and evaluation of the current plan, according to a Draft Scope document.

The consultant also must incorporate community input through two public hearings, up to four stakeholder committee meetings, two rounds of community meetings and other outreach; develop a community vision; determine refinements or changes to the future development map; and come up with an implementation plan and documentation and adoption process.

The project timeline calls for the first draft due by mid-April and final documents ready for consideration by the council by mid-October 2018.

Pond is an international architecture, engineering, planning and construction firm.
