The Woodstock City Council has cleared the way for brown-bagging. The council Monday night OK’d a change to its alcohol ordinance allowing patrons of a businesses that doesn’t have an existing on-premises consumption alcohol license to bring in their own beer and wine. The change affects places like art studios and nail salons, which would need to apply for a license to make that possible.
The council also signed off on a relocation of a portion of the popular Greenprints trail near downtown, adjacent to phase two of the Walton Homes construction project. The builder requested the detour because of the proximity of heavy equipment digging deep holes to the existing trail. The trail will be shifted over to Maple and Reeves streets and make take up to six months to complete.
