A Marietta-based health care system has received top honors for its workplace culture overall and its work-life balance for mothers.
For the third year in a row, WellStar Health System was listed as one of Fortune's 100 Best Companies to Work For.
The list recognizes companies that have a low ratio of employee turnover, high levels of customer satisfaction, innovative thinking and highly productive teams, according to a WellStar news release.
Fortune’s “Great Place to Work” survey uses methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie, according to the release.
The company also recently added to its accolades the top 10 honors on Working Mother's 100 Best Companies list. This is the third time winning that recognition as well.
Fortune selected WellStar among hundreds of companies that submitted employee surveys and completed in-depth questionnaires.
"Our culture is built upon a foundation of transparency, integrity and confidence among our team members,” David Anderson, WellStar executive vice president, said in a written statement.
"It not only ensures we can recruit and retain top talent, but also is a critical component of achieving our vision to deliver world-class healthcare," he said.
