Beginning in Sept., the bridge on Transco Road in Danielsville will close for 180 days for replacement. This project was awarded in June to E.R. Snell Contractor, Inc. and is one of the many structures being replaced by a program called Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP).
The LIBP replaces less complex structures that do not require right of way or have impacts to the local environment. These projects have an accelerated schedule and consider safety of the traveling public as the first priority.
The Transco Road bridge will be reopened to traffic on March 3, 2019. This project represents a $1.4 million investment in replacing a local bridge in Madison county.
