A busy intersection in north Fulton County will be closed this weekend, beginning Friday.

Weather permitting, emergency conduit repairs will be conducted at the intersection of Sandy Springs Circle and Mt. Vernon Highway.

Sandy Springs officials say that the roadwork will take place during daylight hours and the intersection will be open to traffic from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work begins Friday, July 7, and will last through Monday, July 10.

Message boards will be in place near the intersection to alert drivers of detour routes.

For information on lane and road closures, visit the Sandy Springs' Road Work Advisory page.
