Update: Decatur (DeKalb County)
We always enjoy seeing the wheels of government move to help get our reader’s problems solved. In February, we told that a reader’s concern over a jagged pipe near North Druid Hills Road. The issue was fixed, and we received a photo shortly after we told you the issue had been addressed. DeKalb County also fixed a portion of the road near a silver hydrant. Thanks for showing us the fix, DeKalb.

Items: Atlanta (Fulton)
An eagle-eyed reader sent us two items this week concerning paving problems.
For the first item, Joseph Palladi said the pavement, sidewalk curbing and drainage on Cheshire Bridge Road from LaVista /Lindbergh to I-85 are in terrible shape.
“Also the turn lane inbound at LaVista is too short as is the nonexistent left turn lane at Sheridan Drive. The sidewalk is broken and uneven, the curb at spots is non-existent, and the drainage drop inlets in the lanes are not conducive to a smooth ride or function as intended. Unless the water rises inches to drain into these inlets, the only water they will intercept is that which falls directly into them from the sky,” he added.
Palladi also has another paving issue.
“The pavement on the ramps on Ga. 400 at the southbound on-ramp at Buckhead Loop /Lenox Road and the northbound on-ramp at the Glenridge Perimeter Connector is not only very rough and noisy, but both locations have the layers of asphalt peeling away. When will these be addressed?” he wrote. We sent the issues to the DOT and the city, and will let you know when the issues are resolved.
