Item: Stockbridge (Henry)
One of the items we consistently hear about from our readers is bad striping jobs on roads and highways. Lanelle La Rue is the latest reader to vent his frustrations.
“There is a stretch of I-75 south of I-675 that has never been re-striped since the express lanes were installed. It is almost impossible to know which lane you are in, especially early in the early morning when the sun is coming up or when it is raining because the lanes shift. I am surprised there have not been more wrecks there. Please let the GDOT people know before a major wreck happens if it hasn’t already happened. I try not to travel that section of I-75 unless I have to,” he wrote.
We sent his concerns to the DOT and will let you know when it is fixed.

Item: Marietta (Cobb)
One of the changes we’ve noticed is more people using alternative forms of commuting. We heard from one bike commuter this week.
“I commute by bike frequently on the Cobb Greenway, starting at Chastain Meadows Parkway in Marietta. There are some maintenance issues that I am sure to have damaged some bikes and have the potential to do bodily harm. Also, in an area that was landscaped last August, almost all of a few dozen trees died. I sent photos to the county several months ago and never received a response,” wrote Michael Dresdner.
We sent the item to Cobb County for a response.
