From Atlanta to Roswell, one of the most frequent issues we get sent concerns traffic lights. Commuters complain about signals not being timed correctly, but this week, we have an unusual situation.
One of our eagle-eyed readers sent us a missing traffic signal to investigate. Bruce Wardrep wants us to see if we can find out what happened to a traffic light.
“The traffic signal at Peachtree Road at Peachtree Hills has not been installed since the repaving that seemed two years ago. All the other signals are updated, but not this one. I’ve contacted GADOT’s website, but neither a response nor a fix has occurred,” he wrote.
Peachtree Road is one of the busiest streets in the city, so a missing traffic signal could add more woes for residents and drivers who use the road to get home and to work.
We sent the problem to the DOT and will keep you updated.

This week, we were sent an issue regarding a dangerous sidewalk. The commuter hopes we can get something done, before a pedestrian is injured.
“The sidewalk in front of the Madison Apartments on North Druid Hills Road has buckled. This sidewalk is at 2696 North Druid Hills Road NE. This may be the county’s responsibility or the apartment complex’s, but it has been buckled for months now. This is quite a hazard for pedestrians and impassable for anyone in a wheelchair,” wrote Mimi Outlaw.
We sent her issue to the county and will let you know when it’s fixed.
